What is Astoria Connect?+
Astoria Connect is the #1 social meetup in Astoria, Queens. Since 2023 we have hosted free monthly socials, Greek nights, dinner socials and singles mixers at local bars and restaurants. Every person in the room came to meet people, so starting a conversation feels easy and natural. Thousands of neighbors follow along on Instagram at @astoriaconnect.
Are the events free?+
Yes. Entry to our monthly socials is free, and most events include drink specials from the host venue. You only pay for what you order. Some special events, like dinner socials, may have a set menu price, and we always list that clearly on the RSVP page. RSVP free on Partiful to save your spot.
Can I come alone?+
Absolutely. About 90% of people at Astoria Connect come alone, and that is exactly the point. Everyone in the room came to meet new people, so you can walk up to anyone and say hi. Our hosts help with introductions, and most solo guests leave with new friends, new numbers and plans for next weekend.
Who comes to the events?+
Our events bring together locals in their 20s to 40s from Astoria, Ditmars, Steinway, Long Island City and nearby Queens neighborhoods. You will meet new transplants, lifelong New Yorkers, remote workers and people who simply want more friends close to home. The common thread is friendly people who want real connection in their own neighborhood.
